Commenting on the Welsh Government's defeat in today's vote on the draft budget, Shadow Minister for Finance Paul Davies AM, said: "This vote sends a strong message of defiance to a First Minister whose draft budget is not fit for purpose and whose refusal to provide flexibility has been naïve. "The spending plan put forward does not meet the demands of the Welsh health service, education system or economy. "Priorities need to be altered and improved in order for it to address the needs of communities the length and breadth of Wales. "Welsh Conservatives will continue to be constructive and we are committed to working with all parties in order to obtain a budget with the best interests of Wales at its heart."
