Paul Davies said, "This will be an opportunity to highlight some of the serious issues facing our towns of Milford Haven and Fishguard. There is a strong need to regenerate these areas, given their importance to the UK's energy needs and their potential for the Welsh tourism sector." "It's clear that after the health service one of the most important issues that affect the people of Preseli Pembrokeshire is jobs and the local economy. In these circumstances, it is absolutely essential that we take the issues that matter to the people of Pembrokeshire seriously. I believe these towns play a very important strategic role for Wales and the UK and given this strategic importance, I will be urging the Deputy Minister for Regeneration and the Welsh Assembly Government to seriously consider including these towns in their strategic regeneration plans."
