Local Assembly Member, Paul Davies is backing The Mount Estate Post office's application for funding from the Post office Diversification fund. The application seeks to improve the retail side of the business by expanding their newsagent's service. They also plan to reorganise their shelving and install new safety flooring to the premises, which will improve its disabled access provisions.

Mr Davies said, "It is my pleasure to endorse this worthy application. I have written a letter of support for The Mount Post office, urging its proposals to be fully considered. These are refurbishments that have the interests of the local community at heart and will benefit the local residents hugely."
