Paul Davies said, "I wrote to the Minister to urge her to fully consider these proposals. I am aware that the bid has already been approved locally by the Hywel Dda Health Board and I look forward to seeing these developments progress. Milford Haven is an urban population with significant needs, and as a consequence, has increased health and social care demands. This obviously puts a weight on primary care facilities. Currently, the surgeries lack space and therefore, the potential to alter or develop their building is very limited. A new Primary Care Resource Centre would greatly facilitate inter-agency working and continuity of care and allow for an increasing range of services and chronic disease management to be delivered within Primary Care. This scheme has my full support as it will increase the quality of primary health care for the people of Milford Haven. I will continue to lobby and make representations to the Minister and the local health board on this issue."
