Paul Davies AM Attends Breathe Easy Event

Local Assembly Member Paul Davies has recently attended the British Lung Foundation's "Breathe Easy" event at the National Assembly for Wales, to learn more about lung disease across Wales and to meet patients of lung disease from all parts of the country. The British Lung Foundation used the event to campaign for a ban to stop people smoking in their cars when carrying children. Currently, around 300,000 children in the UK go to their GP each year with illnesses related to passive smoking.
WG Admits Own Policy Driving Up NHS Waiting Lists

The Welsh Labour Government has admitted that its own policies are forcing up NHS waiting lists.
Welsh Conservatives have obtained a copy of a letter from the Welsh Labour Government, which confirms that "following the One Wales commitment to reduce the use of the private sector, and the repatriation of patients from England, capacity has been constrained."

Jones Admits Business Support Is At ‘A Low Level’

The First Minister has admitted financial support for businesses from the Welsh Labour Government is currently at 'a low level'.
When challenged by the Acting Leader of the Welsh Conservatives in the Assembly, Paul Davies AM, Carwyn Jones could not give an exact figure for financial support under the Economic Renewal Programme (ERP).

Local Assembly Member Paul Davies AM joined a group of Pembrokeshire registered childminders who arranged a Picnic in the Park to celebrate National Childminding Week, last Friday. The theme of this year's event was 'aspiration' reflecting the fact that registered childminders and nannies are uniquely placed to nurture interests and build on the future aspirations of the children in their care.

Ophthalmology Services Brought to Assembly Chamber

Ophthalmology services in Pembrokeshire have been raised in the National Assembly Chamber thanks to local Assembly Member Paul Davies. Mr Davies called on the Minister for Health and Social Services to make a statement on this matter as soon as possible, following several constituents expressing concerns that the local health board are refusing cataract treatment to patients who have already had treatment on their other eye.

Preseli Pembrokeshire Assembly Member Paul Davies is supporting the progression of the DeltaStream device project, which will be the first ever tidal stream project to be deployed in Welsh territorial waters. The tidal power scheme will provide green electricity to the local distribution network during its 12 month test period, with the potential to power up to 1,000 homes.
