Plan to Acrap Rural Phone Boxes May Put Lives in Danger

Plans to scrap 47 phone boxes in Pembrokeshire have been criticised by Assembly Member Paul Davies.

British Telecom wants to remove phone booths which it says don't get enough use.

The company will definitely remove 21 public phones that are within 400 yards of another pay phone and it is now consulting on plans to remove another 26.

Special Needs Pupils' Petition Hailed by AM

Portfield School pupils have won the attention of a Welsh Assembly committee.

The children collected a petition late last year calling for better disabled access on school and public transport.

It was delivered to the Welsh Assembly's petition committee by their local AM Paul Davies and was chosen as one of hundreds worthy of extra scrutiny.

Pembrokeshire villages must not be pitted against each other in the battle to save their post offices, says Preseli Pembrokeshire AM Paul Davies.
